Game development

Remote desktop for Game Development

Keep the build, engine install, plugins, Perforce workspace and GPU workstation where they already work. LoLa gives developers, artists, producers and QA a cleaner way to reach those machines from Mac, iPad or another PC.

Where LoLa fits

Use the computers and workflows your team already trusts.

01

Engine work without project copies

Connect to the Unreal, Unity or proprietary-engine workstation that already has the repo, launcher, SDKs and editor configuration in place.

02

Build review for producers and leads

Let production, design and art leads open the real project machine for milestone review instead of waiting on packaged builds or exported captures.

03

QA access to target machines

Put test builds on controlled PCs and give testers repeatable access to the same GPU, driver, save state and branch.

Remote desktop first

Start with your PC. Add Cloud PCs only when needed.

LoLa is for teams that need practical access to real workstations, project software and controlled environments without moving the whole workflow onto every user device. The primary journey is to keep the important machine, application stack and project context in place, then give the right users a better way to reach it.

That keeps the buying decision simple: validate LoLa on one real workflow, add professional or team controls when it is useful, then add managed Cloud PCs only where extra hosted capacity is needed.

Pilot one production workstationStart with a real project machine, real input devices and a representative engine scene or build.
Add shared studio rolesBring in producers, QA leads and reviewers once the first developer workflow feels credible.
Use Cloud PCs for missing capacityAdd managed Cloud PCs for temporary build-review seats, partner demos or release-week overflow when no studio host is available.

Why teams choose LoLa

Practical access across every device.

01

Engine and launcher continuity

Keep SDKs, plugins, marketplace assets, source branches and build tools on the machine that already runs the project.

02

Review from Mac or iPad

Give producers and directors a portable route into project review without installing the whole toolchain locally.

03

Controlled QA rigs

Standardise access to test profiles, peripherals, launchers and hardware targets.

04

Team access model

Move beyond ad hoc screen sharing when multiple people need access to shared project machines.

05

Studio support route

Use a workflow demo to map roles, machines and rollout risk before scaling access.

06

Individual trial path

Solo developers can start free on their own PC before asking for team rollout help.

User journey

From one dev machine to a studio access pattern

Start with the project machine that matters most, prove LoLa against the daily workflow, then add users and hosted capacity only where the studio has a real gap.

Developer proves interactionTest editor navigation, play-in-editor, controller input, audio and build launch against a real workstation.
Production adds reviewUse the same access model for milestone checks, producer reviews and support moments.
Studio formalises rolloutTurn the pilot into named machines, user roles and optional Cloud PC capacity for gaps.

FAQ

Common questions.

Can LoLa work with Unreal or Unity projects?

LoLa connects users to the Windows PC where the engine, project files, plugins and launchers are already installed. The first test should use a real scene or build, not an empty desktop.

Is this for solo developers or studios?

Both, but the buying route is different. Solo developers should start free; studios should request a workflow demo so machines, users and access rules are mapped properly.

Does this replace build distribution?

It can reduce the number of times a team has to package, upload or copy builds for review, because reviewers can reach the prepared host machine instead.

When should a game team choose a Cloud PC?

Only when there is no suitable studio PC, when a clean partner-review machine is required, or when a short project burst needs extra capacity.
