01

Match the workload

We check whether your existing Windows PC suits the application, file size, GPU demand and number of users. If not, we can scope an optional managed cloud workstation.

02

Connect to the host

Use your Mac as the screen and controls while processing and application data remain on the Windows host.

03

Scale when needed

Continue using existing hardware, or add a managed workstation when extra performance or team capacity is required.

Common use cases

Built for software your Mac cannot run locally.

CAD and BIMEvaluate compatible Windows applications such as SolidWorks and Revit against the right GPU profile.
3D and renderingReach your existing rendering workstation remotely, or add scalable cloud hardware when projects demand it.
Windows business appsAccess line-of-business software and a complete Windows desktop from macOS.
Distributed teamsConnect contractors to approved workstations, with managed cloud machines available where shipping hardware is impractical.

Windows on Mac FAQ

Plan the workstation properly.

Can I run Windows-only software on an Apple silicon Mac?

The application runs on the remote Windows PC rather than locally on the Mac. This avoids local processor compatibility for supported applications, although software licensing and peripherals still need checking.

Is a cloud PC suitable for CAD and 3D work?

Compatible GPU-equipped Windows PCs can support CAD and 3D workloads. Suitability depends on the application, project size, display needs, peripherals and network connection.

What happens to my files?

Files can remain on the Windows host rather than being stored on the Mac. The exact storage, backup and access policy should be defined for your LoLa plan and organisation.

Can LoLa support a team?

Yes. LoLa can be scoped around multiple users and workstation profiles. Business requirements such as identity, access, backups and application licensing should be reviewed before rollout.

Need a more powerful PC?

Add Windows power without replacing your Mac.

If your existing Windows computer is not suitable, choose a separately priced LoLa Cloud PC from the available templates.
